Travel from Airports & London
From the airports to Oxford
It can be equally affordable to book a shared private car to travel to and from the airports to Oxford, especially from Heathrow. Attendees are therefore invited to fill in this form before 31 May; the organisers will try and group together delegates arriving at a similar time, but offer no guarantee.
From London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, please see The Airline coach service, which runs 24 hours a day. Returns cost £37 for Gatwick and £30 for Heathrow. You can also get to Oxford by train from Heathrow via London, and from Gatwick via Reading.
From London Stansted airport, please see the National Express 757 coach service. A return journey costs £39.
From London to Oxford
Direct and frequent train services run from London Paddington and London Marylebone to Oxford: the journey takes an hour, and an off-peak return costs £25.70. Tickets can be bought at the station, but please see here for ticket purchases and train times.
Alternatively, a popular bus service runs from London Victoria – the journey is slightly longer, but a return ticket costs £20. See here for details.
